At Zistos Corporation, we are continuously advancing the capabilities of our products to offer increased functionality and value for our systems. Our most recent upgrade was to our 5.6” LCD DVR “WalkAbout” Display. Our new enhancements include a built in GPS Receiver, a WiFi Interface to transfer images and a Bluetooth Interface to control and accept data from other sensors and smart devices.
With the addition of a GPS receiver, you will be able to get coordinate data of wherever you are standing. The latitude and longitude coordinates will appear right on the screen, which – when united with the current DVR capabilities of the WalkAbout – allows you to record/archive every inspection and/or mission, not only with images, dates and times but exact geographical locations.
Another recent enhancement to our WalkAbout Display was the inclusion of a WiFi Interface which works simultaneously with the already existing DVR platform. Having this WiFi Interface allows an operator to snap a picture or record a video clip and share it directly with others, who may not be present at your location. This process is achievable through a smartphone application that simply receives the still images and video transmissions from our WalkAbout to a smart phone via the WiFi link. Once the images/videos are on your phone, they can be shared to a cloud based storage media, or through email, text or any other form of communication. The system can also be linked to through an existing network to a common computer or other resource.
The final enhancement in this series of upgrades is the wireless Bluetooth Interface. This interface allows us to slave other devices to our system such as a laser ranger finder. The laser range finder can be attached to one of our camera heads and can be slaved to the display control buttons. Whenever you press a control button the range finder can generate a distance to any object that is visible on the video screen. The distance reading appears directly on the video screen, layered on top of the video image.
Our new display unit that includes these new features add a lot of value and capability to our system. The new display is fully compatible with EVERY Zistos system that has ever been created. This compatibility allows you to add these new benefits to any existing system.
If you would like more information on any of our new enhancements or would like a product demonstration, please contact us and we would be happy to accommodate you.

Zistos Corp. has long been a manufacturer of portable video systems that are used to inspect or surveil areas that are inaccessible or dangerous to enter. We are always working on our products to increase their capability and value.
Our newest enhancement involves one of our more popular products used in remote video inspection applications – our 10x Zoom Camera module. Our Zoom Camera head is one of the more unique products that we offer. It is a sealed, submersible, self-illuminating camera head. It attaches to any of our flex end or articulating poles that range in length from two feet to forty feet. Our Zoom Camera offers a true 10x optical zoom capability and it can be attached to any of our poles for remote inspection tasks. The optical zoom function is accomplished with an internal lens train that magnifies objects within the field of view like any zoom function would. This is to be differentiated from a digital zoom function that many cameras offer, these increase the size of the image by doubling the pixel size – thus degrading the image quality. Our camera gives you a larger image and preserves the detail.
We are typically looking into areas that are dark and we rely on the illuminators on the camera head to properly illuminate an area. Our newly enhanced Zoom Camera head has been optimized to produce 4 times the light intensity than our previous design. This improvement allows the operator to see more detail at further distances in a dark environment AND it is fully compatible with our line of rugged battery powered LCD displays and video recorders. This is a great inspection tool to insert into tanks, vaults, hoppers, or any dark confined space that is dangerous to enter or inaccessible. It allows the operator to see small details, in a dangerous and dark environment, without the need to enter the space.
We would welcome the opportunity to show you how our new enhanced zoom camera can be used to increase the safety and effectiveness of your inspection operation. Please go to our website for more information, or contact us with any questions, or to request a no obligation on site demo of our telescoping pole camera system with our new Zoom Camera that has 4 times the illumination of our previous models.

One of the many unique options for the Zistos Pole Camera System is our zoom camera.
We offer two models: WPC-2.5Z – a color zoom, white light illuminated camera and the WPC-2.5ZIR, a color/BW, low light camera with infrared illumination. Both of these cameras feature a true optical 10X zoom capability.
Unlike many cameras on the market that offer digital zoom capability, the Zistos optical zoom does not lose resolution as the magnification increases. Digital zoom functions lose resolution and image quality as you increase the magnification. Both of the zoom cameras are submersible in water.
Please watch the accompanying video to learn more about this unique camera system from Zistos and how it can assist many types of video inspection/surveillance applications including Industrial, Law Enforcement, Rescue, and Security.

The common requirement for all of our customers is to see into areas that are dangerous or difficult to access. The variety of different pole types and sizes are designed to optimize the range and application of our pole camera systems. With articulating pole options from 3ft to 20ft, FlexEnd pole options from 2ft to 20ft, and Carbon Fiber FlexEnd options at 20ft, 30ft or 40ft you will be able to visually assess conditions in areas that would otherwise be difficult or hazardous.
Being that all of our Zistos camera heads and Zistos WalkAbout displays are compatible with any pole you may choose the combination of pole type, display and camera technology that best fits your application.
Our systems are used by tactical teams, rescue personnel, security personnel and industrial inspectors in many different scenarios. They can allow an operator to “see” high above or below ground – without a ladder; to covertly survey a situation in a second story window or up in an attic without putting themselves at risk; to inspect conditions inside a vault or tank without entering a confined space and search for trapped victims following a building collapse. The various pole types used in conjunction with our other video components give you the flexibility to safely extend your vision and allow you to put your eyes anywhere they need to see.

Zistos is proud to introduce our new line of pole camera systems that include long poles that telescope out to 20’, 30’, and 40’. These new “Extended Reach” poles are made from carbon fiber, a material that is stronger, lighter, and more rigid than standard aluminum and fiberglass poles. The carbon fiber material offers better control and the enhanced rigidity minimizes bowing, especially when the pole is used in a horizontal orientation. A new lever locking collar mechanism used on our carbon fiber poles allows the user to quickly lock/release the telescoping sections of the pole. While some competing pole designs use only friction to keep the sections extended, our locking collars secure each section for use in a vertical position. The poles are fully compatible with our existing line of interchangeable cameras heads and body worn/portable display devices.
